Friday, September 18th, 2015 – Freeport, Grand Bahama – On Thursday September 17th executives from Family Guardian Insurance Company Ltd. Freeport Office presented The 5th Annual Hope Ball Gala Committee with a donation in the amount of $7,200 for this year’s event scheduled for Saturday October 16th in The Grand Ballroom at The Grand Lucayan Resort in Freeport. Family Guardian is the title sponsor of The Hope Ball Gala and has been a corporate partner since the inception of the event in 2010. All proceeds from The Hope Ball are donated to The Cancer Society of The Bahamas Grand Bahama Branch which provides education awareness and financial assistance to residents in need of treatment.

Hope Ball Chairperson Nurse Pamela Ferguson commented the importance of corporate partnerships for the survival of cancer initiatives such as The Hope Ball.  “We appreciate Family Guardian’s dedication and commitment to The Hope Ball, they have been our corporate partners for five years and we know that every year we can depend on their support. Relationships like this allow us to help persons in the community who have Cancer and need financial assistance with treatment.”

The Chairperson also added that although October is traditionally known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month funds raised by the Gala Ball will assist persons who have been diagnosed with other types of Cancer as well.
